He came with his parents (Michael and Agniegzka Lucyshyn) to Canada in 1902. Anton lived and worked together with his family. His older brothers worked with oxen to break the land, while Anton would stay around the house to help his mother with cooking which proved him to be a good cook in later years. He could not attend school to long as he had to help take care of the grazing cattle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anton met Mary Missura of Dana, Sask. Mary was born in December 22, 1904. She was the daughter of Michael Missura and Annie Komarniski. Anton and Mary were married June 8, 1922 in St Marus Roman Catholic Church, Dana Saskatchewan. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lucyshyn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Anton_Mary_Lucyszyn.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"382\" height=\"330\" src=\"https:\/\/lucyshyn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Anton_Mary_Lucyszyn.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-540\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lucyshyn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Anton_Mary_Lucyszyn.png 382w, https:\/\/lucyshyn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Anton_Mary_Lucyszyn-50x43.png 50w, https:\/\/lucyshyn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Anton_Mary_Lucyszyn-300x259.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 382px) 100vw, 382px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They lived next to Queen of Peace church on Sec.14, Twp. 40, Rge 28 W 2nd where they made their homestead. Anton and Mary had three children- Mike, Alex, and Worcine. Mother died Dec 25, 1936. She is buried in Queen of Peace cemetery. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anton remarried Annie Yuzik of Cudworth, Sask. In Oct 4, 1938. Annie was born Oct 11.1912. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full wp-duotone-grayscale\"><a href=\"https:\/\/lucyshyn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Anton_Annie_Lucyzyn.png\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"382\" height=\"330\" src=\"https:\/\/lucyshyn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Anton_Annie_Lucyzyn.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-542\" srcset=\"https:\/\/lucyshyn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Anton_Annie_Lucyzyn.png 382w, https:\/\/lucyshyn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Anton_Annie_Lucyzyn-50x43.png 50w, https:\/\/lucyshyn.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/Anton_Annie_Lucyzyn-300x259.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 382px) 100vw, 382px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>They were blessed with one daughter Marie. All their children attended Ruthenia school during the summer months, after taught by the sister of Providence, Prud\u2019homme, Sask. Anton was a good cook for his family. He made good headcheese, borsch, holubstzi and baked delicious bread in the fall he would make big barrel of sauerkraut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anton was in a partnership with his brother Peter in a threshing outfit. They threshed for many neighbors around their area. He was a member of the Queen Peace Roman Catholic Church in Prud\u2019homme district. He sang in the choir, got up early Sunday mornings, walk quarter of a mile to Queen of Peace church looked after the coal and wood furnace to get fire going during winter months to warm up the church before mass and when ever it needed for many years. He was a chairman and trustee of the Ruthenia school board for many years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anton lived on the farm until retiring to the town of Prud\u2019homme in 1961. Anton lived in Prud\u2019homme until 1974 then moved to Saskatoon. His wife Annie also lived in Saskatoon with their daughter Marie. Anton lived in the Saskatoon Convalescent home, until his passing in Jan. 28, 1989. Anton is buried in Queen of Peace cemetery.
